Little Miss Zapp

Chestnut Mare

In-foal to Goldencents

Booked to Vekoma in 2021

Sire: Ghostzapper

Dam: Little Miss Protocol by El Corredor

Foaled 2016

Little Miss Zapp is the first foal out of CGF star Little Ms Protocol. She was unraced due to a minor injury.

Little Miss Zapp is a half-sister to the exciting colt The Great One, who was recently 2nd in the G2 Los Alamitos Futurity and is on the Kentucky Derby trail!

She is by the leading broodmare sire Ghostzapper (a daughter of his produced Triple Crown winner Justify). She is currently carrying her first foal by top 15 general sire Goldencents (by Into Mischief).

Vekoma was one of the fastest horses in the country in 2020 and will likely be voted champion sprinter at the year-end awards. He won the prestigious and important sire-making race the Met Mile (G1) at Belmont Park and also won the Carter H. (G1). As a 3-year-old, he won the Blue Grass S. (G2), an important Kentucky Derby (G1) prep. Interestingly, he is also a Grade 1 winner, by a Grade 1 winner (Candy Ride) out of a Grade 1 winner (Mona de Momma).

This mating will create some very interesting linebreeding in the resulting foal – Mona de Momma (dam of Vekoma) is by a son of Gone West (Speightstown) out of a daughter of the great mare Long Legend. Little Ms Protocol (dam of Little Miss Zapp), is a granddaughter of Mr Greeley, who is by Gone West out of Long Legend.
