Coteau Grove Farms Opens Doors for Horse Boarding and Equine Services

Premier Facility Now Accepting Horses for Boarding, Foaling, Rehabilitation, and Sales Preparation

Sunset, La.  - Coteau Grove Farms, a leading equine care center in the region, announced Monday that it is now accepting horses for boarding, foaling services, equine rehabilitation and conditioning, and sales preparation. The facility is recognized for its exceptional land, state-of-the-art facilities, ample turnout, and a disciplined, horse-first approach, making it a premier destination for equine care and development in the area.

“At Coteau Grove Farms, we are committed to providing top-tier care for every horse that comes through our gates,” said Jacob Cyprien, general manager of Coteau Grove Farms. “Our team understands the importance of a safe, nurturing environment, and we are proud to offer services tailored to each horse’s needs.”

Located on 478 acres of rotationally grazed pasture, Coteau Grove Farms offers expansive turnout along with modern rehabilitation and conditioning amenities. The facility features a large, covered Eurociser, a custom Gunite equine swimming pool measuring 150 feet long by 14 feet deep, and more equipment on the way. These resources support controlled, low-impact, progressive development and rehabilitation for horses.

Boarding, rehabilitation and conditioning services at Coteau Grove Farms are managed by experienced equine professionals working in collaboration with veterinarians to ensure continuity of care. Programs are tailored to each horse and may include aquatic therapy, controlled exercise, strength development and progressive, low-impact conditioning.

“Our program has always been built around doing what is right for the horse, not rushing outcomes,” said Keith Myers. “Opening Coteau Grove to outside horses allows us to extend that same philosophy—thoughtful care, consistent routines, and individualized plans—to owners and breeders who value doing things the right way.”

Coteau Grove Farms sits along the Coteau Ridge, where mineral-rich soils and naturally higher ground create conditions that support bone development, soft-tissue health, and durability. These soils produce strong, nutrient-dense forage and provide pastures with consistent footing—two factors that quietly but meaningfully influence how horses grow, train, and recover over time.

That foundation matters at every stage of a horse’s development. Young horses benefit from mineral-supported forage and daily movement on stable ground, promoting bone density, balance, and correct structural development during critical growth periods. Consistent footing and proper drainage reduce repetitive strain, excessive concussion, and soft-tissue stress—especially important during rehabilitation, where predictability supports healing and return-to-performance.

Coteau Grove Farms has demonstrated a consistent upward trajectory in its annual ranking among leading American breeders from 2022 to 2025. In 2022, the farm was ranked #89, with purse earnings of $1,361,100 and three stakes winners. The following year, it climbed to #50, earning $2,287,016 and producing four stakes winners. In 2024, the farm’s rank improved further to #35, with purse earnings increasing to $2,895,417 and four stakes winners. Most recently, in 2025, Coteau Grove Farms achieved its highest position yet at #17, with notable purse earnings of $3,738,553 and six stakes winners. These results reflect Coteau Grove Farms’ commitment to quality breeding and equine care, building on its reputation as a premier equine facility in the region.

Located in the heart of Louisiana’s Cajun Country Coteau Grove Farms offers a comprehensive range of equine services, including specialized foaling care, rehabilitation and conditioning programs, and expert sales preparation. The farm’s modern amenities and experienced staff set it apart as a trusted partner for horse owners.
